Hi everyone, In less than a month entries for our own May Meet will close and we would obviously like as many members as possible to enter. Being a swimmer as well as a helper is really satisfying! But if you just won’t swim then some help with the event will be really appreciated. The entry form is available under the events tab of the web site and would urge you to PLEASE PLEASE get your entries in on time. As hosts we would like to make this event as successful as possible and we would ask all members to contribute a spot prize, a little something to award to all swimmers – including our own if possible is all that is required. Our membership is down a little at the moment so if anyone can go out and find a couple of extra prizes that would be great. These should be with us by clubnight on 27th April. Our usual towel prizes will be awarded randomly at the After Match Function at Murrayfields and chocolate fish will be given during the swim as usual. On the night we need assistance for:
• Meeting and greeting/giving out dinner tickets/ collecting any late payments
• Organising the spot prizes
• Assisting with the raffle
• Entering results in computer
• Timekeeping
• Lap counting/timing on Friday night
• Setting up before, and clearing up the pool after
• Choosing the towel winners
• Controlling the jukebox at Murrayfields
• General ‘gophers’
We will be approaching the Swim Club for key officials. Many hands make light work so there is still an opportunity to help and swim!
